The Mobile Laboratory for Environmental Analyses was designed and built to be able to be transported and used directly “in the field” very quickly.
It consists of a laboratory area in which to carry out chemical analyses by means of the instrumentation contained therein, a service compartment useful for transporting all the equipment necessary for taking samples and all the service equipment, and a driver's cab in which the siren and flashing light controls and the vehicle VHF radio apparatus are located.
The rear cabin of the vehicle is in turn divided into two non-communicating rooms: the laboratory compartment and the service compartment.
